Abstract: | Research into computer systems to aid simulation model formulation has led to the construction of a natural language understanding systems (NLUS). A description and short history of NLUSs leads into a discussion of the syntactic and semantic problems which has to be met. A classification scheme for NLUSs is proposed, and the simulation problem formulator is described in this context. A simulation model example is used to illustrate the flavour of the systems by reference to complete interactive session listings. |
