Abstract:In these years of floating exchange rates the corporations are particularly vulnerable to the abrupt changes of the foreign exchange markets. A few firms can take care of themselves, others do not bother and loose money. The remaining part of the corporations turn to their banks for help. This solution is suitable if the foreign exchange management has less strategical importance. The basic tool is hedging, which has traditional and modern versions. Corporations prefer the former to the latter.
