Abstract: | The boundaries of self-direction and the role of educator are examined. A management self-development programme at the Wiltshire Area Management Centre is outlined. The facilitator's role is analysed in its programme. The development of the learner's self- direction demands that the facilitator is aware of his own directing role, and is prepared to interact openly to learn and to change. |
