Abstract:Witte's primary academic contribution lies in the area of empirical behavioral and decision theory. There have been three distinct, but possibly reinforcing stages: The colombus project provided the empirical analysis of the Carnegie Schools theoretical decision theory. The analysis of the codetermination system applied the empirical methodology to a complex decision process. The findings of the study present objectively the perception of the codetermination process from the collective point of view of the major participants. Lastly, Witte took part in the formation of German telecommunication system, floowing up academic observation of decision processes with active managing.
