Abstract:Employee resourcing is a cornerstone of personnel management. The loss of human resources through labour turnover is examined. Its influence on the resourcing activity is discussed. Standard measures of labour turnover have concerned stability, survival, labour wastage, costs. A great variety of costs of labour turnover is considered. The problem of how these costs can be computed is dealt with. Some computing conventions are mentioned. A PC simulation model is described. The data inputs are specified. Eight stages of the acquisition process are determined. The alternative resourcing arrangements can be compared by computer simulation in terms of costs and benefits.
