Abstract:The five essential prerequisites to the attainment of effective co-ordination in any organization are listed. The problem of proper delegation of authority and decision making is examined. Linear responsibility charting (LRC) is presented as a technique for enhancing teamwork and collaboration on complex decision making. LRC is especially helpful in the functional analysis of organizational structure, in strategic planning, and in group decision making. The seven main tasks that can be accomplished by LRC are listed. The beneficial results of LRC application are summarized. LRC graphic charting as a strategic management technique is characterized.
