Abstract: | A study was designed and conducted to test the utility of a social influence approach to explaining employee response to supervisory influence. A sample of 236 administrators and first-line supervisors provided data regarding their individual their individual superiors.The study suggests that individual preferences for forms of social influence can be used to account for employee response. |
