Abstract: | Corporate planners are suggested to condense the following issues when developing retirement policy: manpower planning; mergers and acquisitions; succession management; revision of mandatory retirement laws; organization and attitudes; financial issues. Each of these is discussed. Retirement training is regarded as the least expensive element of retirement policy allowing employees to experiment with retirement life-styles by reducing the number of hours worked. The retirement training program of the American Association of Retired Persons is reported. |
