Abstract:The process of retail internationalization is examined, mainly in terms of retailers' investment activities outside their local markets.1992 is focusing attention on European retailing. But retailers outside the Community have a strong interest in the 1992 programme, though it has little influence so far on the overseas investment decisions made by retailers.
