| Abstract: | Microelectronics based technologies have advanced into many fields of the economy. The investigation of their economic impact can be accomplished by technology specific or technology unspecific approaches. In this article a technology specific method is used to analyse the impact of assembling robots on employment. The direct effects for the user of this type of robots were calculated on the basis of interviews and the evaluation of the related literatures. The indirect effects on intermediate inputs as well as on producers of robots and their intermediate inputs are estimated on the basis of input-output analysis. Finally possible changes of demand for products of the users of the robots are discussed. |
