Abstract:In the context of marketing,Goldman /1979/ used citation analysis to establish the linkages of marketing with other disciplines. Now the results of a citation analysis of references used by authors in five sample volumes of J.C.R. are reported. Consumer research is linked most closely with psychology, and marketing though there's a rising trend of citations to its own literature base.
