| Abstract: | The outcomes of work-role transitions in a mismatch situation were examined. The effects of role requirements, socialization processes and personality were examined among 145 student nurses at different stages in their training, using questionnaire data and diary recording methods. The nursing students showed high levels of personal change and low levels of role innovation in their responses to the high novelty, low discretion work environment of nursing training. |
