| Abstract: | Europe's first direct broadcast satellite was successfully launched by an Ariane vehicle, however, some malfunction occurred since only one panel was deployed. TV-Sat operators are working hard to send the satellite to its final destination and then a full deployment will be attempted. It was the second Ariane launch and a third is planned for early this year. |
