| Abstract: | Both the National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) used the Westar 4 satellite which will be put out of action soon. Thus their users should reconsider their satellite communication needs. They have also to decide whether they switch from C band to Ku band. The two companies evaluate the situation separately. PBS is ready to spend from $40 million to 160 million for the new network. NRP conducts internal investigation and is willing to pay $30 to 70 million for a good solution. |
