Abstract:The British government is unwilling to impose blank tape levy. But the results of a poll announced on June 2o prove 60% of the consumers are in favour of 10-pence levy on blank tape finding it the best solution to the home-taping problem. The poll reaffirmed the prevalence of this practice, so naturally consumers want to make it legal. Most people think levy could compensate the composers and copyright owners.
