Abstract:The role of an individual difference factor-attention to social comparison information- in consumer interpersonal influence is investigated. It is assumed that consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence is moderated by the extent to which consumers are sensitive to social cues concerning their purchase and consumption behaviour.
