| Abstract: | Excerpts from a book titled Beyond the Trust Gap by the same authors are presented that propose a new beginning for middle management. The answer to the question is not to dump middle managers overboard but to free them from bureaucratic restraints and build up their capacity to deal with tomorrow's business challenges. The manager of the future will bear little resemblance to the "corporatic" model of the past. Some features of past managers and their replacement by the new ones are compared. |
