| Abstract: | The process of restructuring and rationalization aided by computer technology has reached the offices and the service industry and caused great concern among the employees of these branches, who are afraid that an office Taylorism will be the result of this trend. In light of this concern, a new and wider concept of rationalization is discussed. The main result of the analysis is the thesis that there is no reason to suppose that the realization of strategic goals of a company cannot be in harmony with meeting ethical and human requirements. |
