Abstract:In this article the author explains the Japanese practice of physical excercise sessions at the workplace. He discusses the development of this practice and contemplates whether similar system would work in British firms as well. Physical and mental agility is considered an aid to overall company productivity. In addition, participation in exercise sessions and other company sponsored sports events is providing company identification and healthy competition between work teams.
