Abstract: | This paper aims at providing a review of knowledge (hereafter as: knwl.) management (KM) literature by adapting and extending McElroy's KM generations model. An interpretive view is used as to provide a holistic understanding and interpretation of organizational KM research with related KM systems (KMS) and models. In order to be effective, organizations need to negotiate their migration from a knwl. sharing (1st generation) to a knwl. creation (2nd generation) culture, and also to create sustained organizational and societal values etc. |
