Abstract:This article examines the concept of sense making and its application to management disciplines. The ideas of Karl Weick are discussed in terms of their contribution to these disciplines. Two contributions are identified - the validation of the "agent" and the impact of the adoption of the sense-making construct on current research paradigms, theory, and methodology.
