Abstract:There is a challenging problem in data mining: Can its results really be regarded as "knowledge"? To address the issue, the theory of knowledge management (KM) ought to be applied. In data mining, researchers focus on how to explore algorithms to separate patterns that are non-trivial, implicit,...,and potentially useful, overlooking the knowledge components. In the KM, most scholars explore methodologies/frameworks of using existing knowledge etc. This paper aims ... to establish foundations of intelligent KM using large data bases which makes it possible to generate "special" knowledge, called intelligent knowledge base on the hidden patterns created by data mining. Furthermore, the process of intelligent KM is systematically analyzed.
