| Abstract: | The article explores the top-down approach for a successful orientation programme. The differences between orientation and training are explained. The top-down approach includes the following modules: Industry, Company, Internal Auditing and Audit Assignments. It is reported that a carefully designed and administered orientation programme will speed up the new auditor's adjustment to job and company. It will lead to high employee commitment and performance and thus build the groundwork for the future success of the internal audit department. |
