| Abstract: | Unsuccessful efforts to implement strategy led senior executives to consider a fresh solution, one which recognized that the problem was not strategic or structural but behavioral. When employees operate inside "functional tubes", this often results in suboptimal performance for the company as a whole. "Rewiring" can establish the connection between how the company is organized and how it actually works. If management is attuned to the need to change and attentive to the process and employees, the performance of the company will improve. |
