| Abstract: | The EC spent in the period of 1980-91 a yearly ecu 13,6 billion on aid to depressed regions within its member states. The distribution of this amount had adverse allocative impact due to the distorted character of national practice of subsidization. Therefore an allocatively neutral EC system of assistance has to be worked out. The article presents the outline of such a system. |
