| Abstract: | Referring to a former article by Bolke (Arbeit und Sozialpolitik 1990) the authors try to answer the question to what extent the changing age structure of the population explains the rise in outlay on hospital treatment in the 1960-1988 period in FRG. Their method can be employed to forecast future cost development. |
