Abstract:An open warfare in satellite programming has broken out in the U.K. between Murdoch's Sky Television and BSB. The current tone of the battle seems to be that one side argues choice while the other side argues quality. Astra offers choice, and BSB promotes quality with newer movies and classic BBC productions. The fact is that Sky has a commanding head start. As BSB receiving equipment won't be widely available until next autumn, Sky's lead will be growing.
