| Abstract: | In the development of Ku-band DBS system electron tubes and especially helix-type travelling-wave tubes (TWTs) will remain main elements in satellite transponders and uplink stations. Only tubes are capable of delivering both the power levels and the frequencies required of DBS applications. |
