| Abstract: | A model of the determinants of media choice is proposed that reflects how a medium's data carrying capacity and its symbol carrying capacity influence the choice of communication media. The proposed theory stresses that media use is influenced by characteristics of the task, individual and organization capability constraints, and normative factors. |
