Abstract:The study was conducted to investigate how groups of working-class and middle- class women talk about morality in general and abortion in particular before and after they viewed a TV show about abortion. Working-class women seem to be much more positive in their general approach to television. Working-class women use a more critical mode of speech than middle-class ones. Following the TV show the groups' speech became more similar.
