| Abstract: | Since 1961, restricted with the varied fibre agreement conduced by the developed countries which import textiles and with the developing countries which export textiles, the world textiles trade has stepped out of the track of GATT. This discriminative restriction brings great economic loss to the developing countries. Under pressure of the strong demands of the developing coughties the textiles trade is brought into the Uruguay Round of GATT as a main subject. Free textiles trade will be gradually realized in ten years. So we should strengthen the macroscopic management of the textiles trade, earnestly study the counter-measures and make possible development in the textiles export. |
