Abstract: | Productivity and motivation of public employees are central concerns of public organizations anywhere, but especially in settings such as Saudi Arabia's where public administration and planning of society's socio-economic development is a relatively recent phenomenon. The massive flow of oil revenues has fueled a rapid pace of development in Saudi Arabia seldom witnessed in modern history: Saudi income from oil climbed from $4.3 billion in 1973 to $22.6 billion in 1974 and peaked to $102 billion in 1981. |
