Abstract:A multiphase business process can be adjusted to the optimisation process by a fractional objective function the numerator and the denominator of which are piecevice linear functions; restrictions are also determined by the piecevice linear functions. In this article this model is used to optimise a general multiphase business process. The emphasis is placed on the process of solving the problem of mixing. To illustrate this a simple example is given, which consists of selecting the most favourable combination of investments for the purpose of modernisation or completion of the discussed business process.First, a model , which enables maximisation of the before investment cover contribution, is constructed. The optimal value of the investment is used to form the objective function by which profitability of investments can be maximised. The model to maximise profitability is next transformed into a linear mixed integer optimisation task and processed by the available programme.
