| Abstract: | Unemployment is currently a cause for concern in most industrialized countries. The majority of these are unskilled young and middle aged men. This is the group that is most at risk in the future across the industrialized countries, with the impact of technological change and as patterns of trade and employment in manufacturing shift to the low wage developing countries, of South East Asia particularly. If this is the underlying cause, can anything be done about it? |
