| Abstract: | Violence in the form of harassment, threats and physical attacks occurs daily at job sites, committed by customers, spouses coming consite and even employees. Organizations such as Hardee's Food Services, Kraft General Foods and the USA Postal Service, all of which have experienced workplace homicides, want it to stop. Led by HR, they are taking measures against violence by implementing comprehensive prevention strategies. Their actions include setting up prescreening processes to keep violent people out of the workplace, teaching workers how to recognize and handle violent behaviors, and developing action plans. |
