Abstract: | Time was when the only electrostatic discharge worth worrying about was that caused by walking across a nylon carpet. In the modern electronics industry, however, harmful effects of uncontrolled electrostatic discharges are now seen as a major contributor to poor product yield and long term unreliability in many electronic assemblies. To provide the best possible protection against damage, static control must be considered from several angles. |
