Abstract:This is first in a series of 6 articles on improving the financial performance of companies. Under pressure to participate in improvement activities, or to become involved with the newest business wisdom, management may lose focus on the real issues: increasing customer satisfaction and raising total productivity. This article discusses selected facets of business reengineering, a process for addressing key issues of customer satisfaction and productivity in ways which will produce favourable results to improve the bottom line.
