| Abstract: | Factors such as the exportation of jobs overseas, an influx of immigrants and downsizings within the manufacturing industry are fundamentally changing the nature of work. As a result, many companies are finding that to remain competitive they must readjust their HR practices in regard to a low wage workforce, implementing such initiatives as profit sharing and self-directed work teams. |
