| Abstract: | In recent years a growing literature has discussed the emergence of technology-based international strategic alliances. Two reasons especially stand out among others for the recent increase in international cooperation in technological development. A rise in technological interrelatedness , partly through the fusion of formerly separate branches of technology in new systems, has increased the potential hazards of an essentially autonomous corporate strategy for innovation. |
