Abstract: | U.S. farmland may well prove to be an excellent investment. To understand why, consider how 1-billion-plus Chinese are changing their eating habits. What are the three things driving global agriculture today? China, China, China. That country is going to continue to be a tremendous influence on agricultural commodities over the next five or ten years. It is a little scary. When people rise above the subsistence level, the first thing they want is to eat a little better, something more than the customary gruel, unardoned rice or bread. |
