| Abstract: | The article discusses the importance of an effective supply chain to companies trading in Europe. The paper looks at the recent technological developments which are leading to more sophisticated multi-modal distribution techniques. It suggests that technology is the most important issue which businesses must address if they are to compete as world-class companies. The paper proposes the multi-modal distribution is becoming a key part in the successful management of the European supply chain. |
