| Abstract: | This paper proposes a procedure for evaluating three alternative array-based clustering techniques within the manufacturing domain. It tries to provide answers to questions such as - how should clustering algorithms for cell formation be evaluated, - what kind of measures can be used for the comparison, - which array-based clustering technique performs better, and - which array-based method has the best ability to deal with exceptional elements? |
