Abstract:African oil producers are riding on the crest of a bountiful wave: earnings have been consistently good and a new flood of investments is washing over the continent. Exciting new discoveries point to an even brighter future. the author's review leads the special focus on Oil and Minerals to coincide with the annual Sub-Saharan Oil and Minerals Conference in Johannesburg. In the grand scheme of things, African oil producers have never known it so good. Notwithstanding, there are always two sides to the coin.
