| Abstract: | The present financial situation in China is as follows: Some initial results have been achieved since the policy on curbing inflation and the related measures were taken. The funds necessary for the economic growth have been guaranteed. The supervision and management of finance have been standardized and legalized. And the quality of credit assets has been raised. The objectives of financial reform in the coming years are: to establish (1)the macro regulation and control system of the central bank implementing monetary policy under the leadership of the State Council; (2)an organizational system with commercial banks as the main body coexisting with many kinds of financial institutions, separating policy finance from commercial finance; (3)the system of unified and open market which is managed strictly and orderly incompetition. |
