Abstract:In the first chapter of the article, the author states that work, in a wide sense , may be a subject of a variety of contracts, and that, in a narrow sense, it can also be a subject of an employment contract.Work as a fundamental part of a contract was never particularly problematic in the former legal regulations. In the following chapters, the author deals with the former and present legal regulations, admissible exceptions in the organisational and legal definition of jobs, and with the issues of relations between the subject of employment contract and characteristics of the clients of contractual relations.A new law on employment is now in preparation. The author strives for the job or work, which is the subject of contract, to retain the central status and thus remain the essential part of a contract.
