| Abstract: | Effective production engineering is a basic requirement of all manufacturing. These are various ways to make the production function more effective: one of these is a helpdesk. The helpdesk provides the means to identify, plan solutions and prioritise business problems, and guarantees that day to day requirements are dealt with. As well as dealing with the immediate needs of the shopfloor, a helpdesk provides the data managers need to reengineer their processes effectively. The helpdesk thus builds both short and long term solutions to a company's problems. |
