| Abstract: | This case describes the problems facing a prestigious Polish university that must rapidly transform itself from a training ground for central planners and social bureaucrats into a Western-style business school. It discusses possible changes in the school's structure, course offerings, mix of academic and practitioner-oriented courses, curriculum, and language of instruction. questions are raised about the role of proper role of western business schools in assisting the transformation. The case is based on firsthand observation and in-country interviews. |
