Abstract:Lee Raymond , the CEO of Exxon, runs America's most profitable company. In his four years on the top, he has succeeded in pumping out ever higher profits from the portfolio of assets that range from oil fields to refineries and convenience stores, and has consistently delivered handsome results to shareholders. Instead of investing in new oil fields, the company used its capital to buy back stock, but now the time has come to start growing again. Exxon has developed a new promising method for converting natural gas to a liquid diesel-like fuel that could boost revenues.
