| Abstract: | Discrimination against job candidates on the grounds of their age, although it is not illegal, is just as unacceptable as discrimination on the ground of race or sex or disability. With these words, People Management became, at the start of 1996, the first recruitment medium in the UK to refuse ageism in advertising. This article reports on the success of the policy in both ethical and business terms. |
