| Abstract: | This article studies the magnitude of the benefits from international diversification from a Nordic point of view. Since it is likely that the co-movement of stock markets have increased towards the end of the 1980s, while simultaneously exchange rates for the nordic countries have become more volatile, it is of interest to investigate whether the relative benefits from unhedged international diversification for these countries would have been reduced. Two subperiods are separately investigated. A sepial focus is directed towards the period during which the FIM has floated. |
